Mutual Shaping

Mutual Shaping is about the relationship between water and rock.

The soft, forever young water in constant movement and without resistance

adapts all shapes.

Its opposite is the hard stone, with sharp edges and sore cuts, lying there motionless, millions of years old.

The stone has its own color, while the water reflects all others colors.

Stone and rock first gives form to the water where it flows into its pits and fissures, makes roaring waterfalls and quiet ponds.

But ever unnoticed and serenely the water shapes the rough stone,

grinds its edges and cuts,

forms it into soft sculptures.

Such is the hard stone totally at the mercy of the soft water.
